  46.                         Why such a break?
  47.  
  48.         It hasn't been since October since the last issue of this
  49. newspaper. Why? Because I've been incredibly busy, with work, with my new
  50. (and improved) girlfreind, and all of that fun stuff. No one showed any
  51. life out there either. Maybe no one really does read this. But I doubt
  52. it's my imigination, because I see people downloading it every so often.
  53. I remind people in every issue, and hopefully they will soon respond to
  54. the newspaper. My number and address is at the end of this newsletter,
  55. please give me any advice, or write-ins that could be put in this
  56. newsletter, it would be greatly appreciated if you shared your thoughts
  57. with us. If you'd like to state your opinion on an article, or you have
  58. something to say, that you think other people should know. Feel free to
  59. write me a letter, either by U.S. Mail, or you can contact me (As
  60. Firefly...or Nick Zinos) on the following BBS's: Nightlife, Troppus,
  61. Last Resort, or Shadowfax. I check up on these BBS's often, so write me
  62. your article and I'll put it in here. Well enough of my begging, let's

  71.         Recently I've taking an intrest in writing, and I decided to
  72. set aside a part of this letter to insert some of my own stuff, as well
  73. as others, which I enjoy. If you have a short story, or poem, that you'd
  74. like put in here, feel free to give me it, and I'll transfer it into the
  75. next paper.

  112.       I start as a puppet on all 5 of my strings
  113.       A healthy, sturdy, marienette that is energetic
  114.       Slowly my first string gets cut
  115.       I am down to four strings
  116.       I can still walk, I can react
  117.       Although I don't always do exactly what I want
  118.       Then my 4th string gets sliced
  119.       I have only 3 strings left
  120.       At times I can get up as I did before
  121.       Usually it is hard for me to stand straight
  122.       Taking advantege of my weakend condition
  123.       The 3rd string breaks
  124.       2 are left
  125.       My legs fall to the ground
  126.       I feel as if I'd disentigrate if I made one wrong move
  127.       And I did
  128.       The 2nd string snapped
  129.       I am here, dangling from one string
  130.       I have no energy left
  131.       I have no emotion, no willpower
  132.       My pride is gone, my love has been crushed
  133.       I would do anything for my strings back
  134.       Not intil now have I realized how important they were
  135.       If only I acted different
  136.       Although I cannot change it now
  137.       And when I am most vulnerable

  153.                          Teenage Sex
  154.  
  155.         I go to High School. These days the hot topic is sex. Sure, it's
  156. always been big, but I mean hot! It is right up there with sports,
  157. money, and how much you hate your 4th hour teacher. Within the past 10
  158. years, people are begining to speak much more openly about it then the
  159. ever have. 50% of the kids in school carry condemns with them, yes even
  160. the girls. Of course only about 10% of them actually use it. I myself,
  161. have found me taking much more openly about then I ever dreamed I would
  162. with other people. In school now it's a requirement to take Health
  163. class, which includes Sex Ed, etc.. I think it's fabulous how they
  164. inform everyone about sex. Personally if you have a problem discussing
  165. sex with other people, you have a serious problem. Nobody gains from
  166. iggnornce. I think that if you didn't teach people how important birth
  167. control, and precautions before sex are, people would get into a lot
  168. more problems. If you say teaching kids about sex will only influence
  169. them to do it more, I think that's a bunch of bullshit. They even hand
  170. out free condemns at the nurses office, for anyone to get one if they
  171. wish. Of course, I go to an inner-city school, so it may be different at
  172. other places. But I think you parents shouldn't EVER try to hide any
  173. fact about sex with your kids, it will get them confused. Hell, I
  174. probably learned more about sex at my age, then you did all the way up,
  175. out of college. I had my first sex education class at age 11. I don't
  176. think there is ever any way to solve the problem, 3 of my good freinds
  177. are pregent, at ages 14, 15, and 17. So I know what I'm talking about.
  178. You can't forget about it, so explian it.
